In the animal kingdom, the owl is usually given the unofficial title of wisest animal. However, while we definitely respect these beautiful, mysterious birds, we do want to note that kitties are also quite the little sages. In fact, we can learn a lot from our feline pals! A Lewisville, TX vet lists some life lessons from Fluffy in this article.

Get Lots Of Rest

If cats had one golden rule, it would probably be to always get enough rest. Fluffy can sleep up to 20 hours a day! While that may be going a bit overboard for most people, it is important to get a good night’s sleep.

Be Curious

Cats are very inquisitive, if not downright nosy. Of course, we don’t suggest indulging that sense of curiosity in the same way as our furry friends do. Following people into the bathroom or sleeping in their suitcases is only charming when kitties do it! However, it is important to feed your mind and explore your interests. Sign up for a fun class, or try your hand at a unique craft.

Soak Up Sun

Does your kitty enjoy sleeping in sunbeams? We suspect that the answer to that question is yes. Although Fluffy doesn’t actually run on solar power, she definitely enjoys sunbathing. Let this be a reminder to get outside sometimes. Sunshine and fresh air are both good for you. (Just remember to use sunscreen.)

Show Your Love

Cats may have a reputation for being aloof, but at the end of the day, many of them are actually very affectionate. There’s no mistaking that look of adoration Fluffy gives you when she’s snuggled up on your lap for anything but kitty love!

Have Fun

When you see Fluffy chasing after that little red dot, or batting a bottlecap around, you’ll notice that she isn’t worried about how silly she looks. She’s too busy having fun! Take a cue from your pet, and make time for things you enjoy.

Look Your Best

Kitties are very diligent about their beauty regimes. In fact, Fluffy may spend up to a third of the time that she’s actually awake cleaning her fur to keep it nice and soft. You don’t have to go that far, but it is important to look neat and well-groomed.
