I have gone to Dr. Matt Morrison for many years. I trust his skills. He is also compassionate and funny. He explains things well. He has seen me through several Samoyeds and Pugs. His staff is excellent...very low turnover. When you call, they know you..and your pet.July 29, 2023. I had a wonderful, though sad, experience at Riverchase Animal Hospital. My sweet 13 year old Samoyed, Blitz, had to be euthanized, a horrible decision almost all of us have to make, in order to keep our pets from pain. For 20 years I have found Dr. Morrison to be extremely knowledgeable and with first rate veterinary skills. The compassion we experienced on that difficult day, through the entire staff and the techs touched us greatly. Though Dr. Morrison is retiring soon, I believe Riverchase is in excellent hands with Dr. Dees-Atkinson. She cared for Blitz the last couple of weeks of his life and even emailed me with assistance on her days off! Blitz loved to go to the vet as she patted him (a lot!). To finish the story, we received flowers from Riverchase the next day. I could not recommend a clinic more highly to those neighbors in Coppell.

Very caring with animals and pet owners. I was difficult because my elder cat was doing poorly and right after a major move and starting a new career. My world was just in shambles getting the bad news about my beloved cat. I wanted to fight for her to get better and find some mistake or error. There was no errors on behalf of the staff. I did have to let my pet go as continuing on would have been cruel. I was overwhelmed with the compassion and care taken with the process of euthanizing and arrangements for after. I trust Dr. Dees to take great care of my remaining pets. One of my cats loves going and jumps in the carrier to go hang out with all his vet besties.

We took our dog here for a 2nd opinion when another clinic was unable to solve our boy's ear infection for 4 months. He had an ear infection since we rescued him from a shelter and we got so desperate after several unsuccessful treatments. Dr. Morrison gave us two prescriptions to try and it worked within about a week! My heart couldn't believe how transformed my newly adopted pup (really he's 5 years old) was since he was no longer in pain from the infection. 10 out of 10 the best vet we’ve ever had. Dr. Matt Morrison is an amazing person who truly does have your pets best interest at heart. He understands and respects how bonded we are to our fur family members and works with 100% care and attentiveness. We have two shiba inus and unfortunately one of our shibas was dealt a very bad hand in the gene pool. She struggles with many health issues, and Matt took such great care of her. He also took time out to talk to me about any concerns I had, and how treatments might effect her overall, given her other conditions. I never felt rushed or dismissed at any of our appointments. The staff at Riverchase is also amazing, the techs were extremely knowledgeable and caring, and the front desk staff were always friendly, concerned, and very professional. We moved to Florida because of my husband’s job, and I’ve yet to find a vet out here that’s been just half as great as Riverchase was. Thank you Matt and the whole team!
